NE2201 is a high-performance and multi-mode AC/DC controller with characteristics such as high integration and high efficiency, and has excellent THD performance. It is mainly applied in Boost PFC converters.
The NE2201 simultaneously has three working modes: Critical Conduction mode (CRM), Intermittent Mode (DCM), and Burst mode, which can be adaptively switched. The CRM and DCM modes can effectively reduce the switching loss of MOSFETs and optimize EMI performance. The DCM mode switches different numbers of Drain voltage oscillation valleys based on the actual current. The lighter the load, the more valleys there are, the switching frequency is optimized, and the converter efficiency is improved.
The NE2201 integrates a wealth of protection functions, including: periodic overcurrent protection (OCP), overload protection (OLP), VCC undervoltage lock (UVLO), over-temperature protection (OTP), overvoltage protection (OVP), etc.
